As a seafood vendor of 15 years, a market manager for four of those & years of market board experience, Ron has an incredible fondness for the market community.
Ron sees markets as a fantastic community hub that we can all rally around to celebrate local food,
small businesses & unique communities.
His years in the childcare industry whether as a youth pastor, summer camps and work with teens in many capacities means you can be sure he will bring a touch of fun to all of our market events.
Most of all, markets are a wonderful platform for the community to come together and bring their own brand of magic; making them a special place to be.
Ellen Fowler
Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, and Winter Market Manager
Ellen Fowler is a 10+ year resident of Port Coquitlam. During the 2019 Port Coquitlam Farmers Market she was on staff as the Market Manager. It was an exciting time, learning and growing with the Market in its transitional year.
Prior to living in Port Coquitlam Ellen lived in Seattle, WA where she was a certified Personal Chef and a small business owner. Ellen’s niche was the Farmers Market Chef where she presented cooking demonstrations which were “What’s in Season” focused. Her experiences with Farmers Market include volunteering at several greater Vancouver markets and on staff at Langley and working for the Artisan Farmers Market helping the markets BCAFM coupon program.
When traveling, Ellen makes a point to visit local farmers markets to get a sense of the local community.
