At Fraser North Farmers Market Society, we are sowing the seeds of a healthier, more sustainable future. Our mission is simple yet powerful – to provide fresh, locally sourced produce to our community while supporting our hardworking farmers.

To keep our market thriving and accessible to all, we need your help. Your financial donation can make a direct impact on the success of our market, ensuring that we continue to connect farmers with consumers and promote a culture of health and sustainability.

Donate Directly to the Farmers Market Coupon Program

The Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program (FMNCP) is a healthy eating initiative that supports farmers’ markets and strengthens food security across British Columbia. Community partner organizations provide coupons to lower-income families, pregnant people and seniors. Coupons can be spent at all BCAFM member farmers’ markets that participate in the FMNCP, and can be used to purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, dairy, herbs, vegetable & fruit plants, honey, meat and fish.

Households enrolled in the program may receive $27/week in coupons for up to 16 weeks. The amount and frequency and duration can vary according to each partner’s program guidelines and the length of the Farmer’s Market season in the community.

Coupons can be used at any participating BC Farmers’ Market from June 4th – December 18th.  You can find more information on the BCAFM website.

The FMNCP does not operate over the winter, but that doesn’t mean the need doesn’t exist at that time of the year.  We are working with the BCAFM to extend the program over the winter for coupon recipients to receive coupons that they can redeem at our Haney Winter Market.  To make that happen we need to raise the funds for the coupons. Our goal is to raise $25,000.

The Vancity Community Foundation supports fundraising for the Nutrition Coupon Fund by accepting contributions for which they will issue charitable tax receipts.  To make sure this gets allocated for coupons to be used at the Haney Winter Market, please specify “Haney Winter Market” in the comments field.  Any excess funding that we raise for the Haney Winter Market will get allocated for next year’s coupon program in Maple Ridge.
